Hi Team, been a while since I've posted!
We have booked 24th through 27th aswell (2 adults and 2 kids) - camper trailer in tow.
My wife and I grew up in the Manning valley area originally but funnily enough never camped in this part of the Barrington Tops NP as I always avoided it due to all the tourists! So this should be fun!
Also encouraging my folks who live near to Wingham to come out for a time. They have just purchased a 7L R5 TDI.
And I've asked my cousin to come along - they live in Wauchope but frequently camp around Gloucester, they dont have a Treg but they do have a Skoda Yeti.

Well I think the Skoda is made in Slovakia like the Tregs…so most welcome!.
Tell us if you are interested in any of the tours..or just want to slack around..which is perfectly acceptable.

Seafarer, are you coming? Remember Roseleigh Cottage neearby. You could share..From memory as well as a double bed there are a couple of singles. As I mentioned rustic but comfortable.

Thanks for the reminder Bruce, Roseleigh Cottage is booked on that weekend (just checked).

I'm within reasonable driving distance from the venue for a day trip so may call in on that weekend to meet with old friends and make new acquaintances.

Last year's get together in Qld was the only one we've missed since the first one at Eldee Station so will make a special effort to attend this one, we don't want two stikes against the seafarer28 team do we....

Looking on the National parks alert web site there is an alert in place on the map which reaches out to just include the campgrounds for
Aerial Shooting for Pest Animal Control

The campgrounds are not included in the closed list.
I am phoning the local office in the morning as the main office could not give a definative answer open/closed.

Well..as you said campground is not covered and the ban ends on the 24th.. so should be fine.

Can I get replies regard nunbers and dates.

Is any body planning on either of the two trips. These are not off road apart from ‘some possible and optional’ beach driving as mentioned a few posts ago.
Brief summary of requirements:

You have to book campsite with NP
Bring water.
Bring some firewood if you can
Mozzie protection as well..Probably wont be bad..Just in case.
There is about 5 river fords..but infinitely doable to get to site.
We are at least 40 minutes from Gloucester for food etc and about 30 minutes from good phone reception.
Should be plenty of sites
There are some gas BBQs and toilets there as well and I think the odd gas BBQ shelter for a sit down dinner.
No powered sites.

I think also we should have a semi formal format for one of the dinners. Something on the lines of modifications/ info about your Touareg.

So possibly 12 connected to Tregs …at a guess only about 6 Tregs…and some fly ins without. I am hoping Dragline, Singh and Seafarer will come. Two of them may be day trippers only!

For me it will be a "on the day" decision as to going on the day trips.
I will be arriving on the afternoon of the 23 and will look for suitable space for us. I will need access to the sun for charging so will not be backed up to trees (unless they are on the south side)
As of a few days ago there was only 8 sites booked in the whole camp ground.

Thank you. There is no issue to come or not to come on the trips. Just enjoy. Dont know the campsite in detail..but I reckon you will be all right.There is from my non too reliable memory some really nice spots with lots of sun but close to trees just as you enter..near Sharpes Creek Walk…A little away from the facilities but..

Was planning trip down Myall River then back See link a page or so ago. So far no takers. Might postpone till Sunday…thus those going back south o north can loop back roundand go home without returning to G Tops. Some are staying a couple of days after that.
So will wait for u Might do short return day trip up the mountain on Saturday all optional..
Will wait for you and any others coming up am Saturday till about 11?
