Hi guys,

2014 tdi touareg with 110k miles. I am planning on dropping the transmission pan, changing the filter and replacing what oil is lost in the process.

I found two kits from ecs tuning. One is oem parts for $450 and the other is aftermarket for $175. Any reason to stay with oem?

Was also planning on doing the diffs while I'm under there. Any recommendations on oil/kits for those? Planning to buy all this at once and DIY this but want to hit the easy button on tried and true parts. Any other sources to consider?

Thanks

Use Ravenol oils. Ravenol T-WS Lifetime for the gearbox. Order it yourself. Everthing is available. What is OEM? VW dont make oil or the filters they do however rebox things & charge more.

The gearbox isnt made by VW. When i changed the ATF I noticed the original from the factory filter was made by ROKI co ltd. The new one I fitted was made by MEYLE.

VW OEM oil filters cost more than Mann but are made by Mann the box is VW branded but I tend to throw them away.
