Up till lately the only option for transfercase fluid was OEM #G052515A2 (850ml bottle that is not quite enough) at $60 aud.

Found this German made product specially for modern active transfer cases.

Lists on European site for VW meeting their spec and at $25 for a litre good value.
RAVENOL Transfer Fluid TF-0870 - Ravenol
Been using for about 2 months and no issues.

Drag, I've been using Ravenol for all my fluid changes and am very happy with the quality and price. All products come with OEM approval. I've been purchasing thru Blauparts. Mike

RAVENOL Transfer Fluid TF-0870 oil replaces the factory fill of Shell TF-0870 and is spec'd for the following vehicles.

Land Rover IYK500010, ATF TF-0753, Nissan 999MP-TF0870P, KLD22-00001EU for Transfer Case ATX90A, Porsche 000-043-301-36/ 00004330136 for Cayenne Transfer Case, Porsche 95834153600, VW G052515A2 (formerly: G055015A2) for Transfer Case 0AD and 0BV for Touareg, Q7, VW G052536A2 for Transfer Case 0BU for Touareg, Amarok and Audi Q7, VW G052533A2 for Transfer Case 0C7 for Amarok, BMW DTF-1 83222409710, 83222397244, 83220306816 for Transfer Caxe xDrive: ATC 300, ATC350, ATC400, ATC50, ATC500, ATC700

The non locking front differential and the non locking rear differential use standard 75W-90 Synthetic Gear Oil.

Now, if we can find the OEM designation and replacement for the rear locking differential fluid, we will be the fluid overlords. ;)

Thanks to COVID-19 I'm on furlough now and no telling when we'll be back to work. I'm hoping to save some money during these lean times -- is there a "US brand name" oil that would work in place of the VW product and other pricey German fluids?

Greetings All from Queensland, Australia.
Have been searching without much success for suitable Transfer Case Fluid in Australia for my 7P without paying exorbitant dealer OEM prices. By luck I discovered that Ravenol products are easily accessible in all Australian states (by searching Ravenol au ) and for those in Qld/Gold Coast, a company called Direct Automotive Components in Nerang, will supply at an extremely competitive price and if not on the shelf, will source from Brisbane overnight. Call Scott on 07 5502 2855
Cheers,
Fergus
