Anyone knows why the TPMS is not included in the MFI? Or is there something wrong with my 07 V6? I was told by the dealer that I have TPMS but it will not tell you what tire has the low pressure, just an indicator. Does that means it will show up only if there's a low pressure problem on my tires? Thanks

Join the club and congrats on the new ride. VW in there infinite wisdom has removed this from the 07 models. I am not even sure if you can order it as I did not notice this option when I was ordering my 07.

The 2007 Touareg does not have TPMS. The new 2008 will have to have it installed by federal law. All 2008 cars and light trucks will have to have it. V.W. and Beru have been making changes in the system. It will be an improved system next year.

TPMS Question

If my 07 V6 does not have TPMS can it be retrofitted with one? By the way I really loved the Touareg. I almost got XC90 because I have another Volvo car but one test drive of the Touareg is all it takes to make the decision plus I got a good deal ($100 above invoice). Thanks

Schrader has an add-on system. Four stems and a wireless reciever. Very easy install. You need the tire store to do the stems, the rest is very easy. It uses two AA batteries, no wiring at all. Google Schrader for details and part #'s.
