Got the following error when scanning with VCDS:

02234 - Right Headlight Power Output Stage (J668)
            002 - Lower Limit Exceeded - MIL ON
             Freeze Frame:
                    Fault Status: 11100010

                    Fault Frequency: 1
                    Reset counter: 194
                    Time Indication: 0

After reading here, I've understood that the AFS module is kaput and decided to change it.

Did some research and I've found that the Passat bi-xenon AFS module is matching with this one and found one from a guy who was dismantling his car.

I've put the new module on and VCDS was saying this:

I think the modules are not so compatible after all. The one from the Touareg had 7L6 941 330 (R) and H6 SX 18 while the Passat's module had 7L6 941 330 (R) and H6 SX 17.

Is there a way to make them work? I've tried to get the long coding from the broken module and overwrite it with the new one but I couldn't find this option on the 55 Headlight Range from the VCDS.

As well, when I try to do basic settings on new module I can’t access any group even if I put the adaptation code on security login.

The OP originally wanted help and now its fixed obviously won't or cant be bothered to tell us otherwise he would have.

I can write, but I tought that it's not an interesting post for anybody, since I had almost 200 views on it and nobody said anything. It was an euphemism as well from me, Tommi.

The fix was that I've taken out the module, put the old one, got some measurments with VCDS from the faulty one and when I've put the "new" one back, the high beam wasn't working. I've pressed the headlight a little harder in it's position and then I saw there was no more blinkin' light on the dashboard. Scanned with VCDS and everything went smooth.

So, if everyone is wondering, the AFS module from Passat is working on Touareg, but I think it has to be RHD for RHD and LHD to LHD, not the other way around. I am not 100% sure about that.
