From what I know, it requires some firmware updates and system level coding. OBDeleven or VCDS may not be sufficient to get this done.

 

Something new about this? I try wrote to VW but they no answering

 

I've got it working. This feature cannot be "coded" nor activated by any VW dealership. This requires a d-link adapter (<40€), simple SD card and root access to the radio. On certain units, a firmware update is required as well (P2869).
If you guys want to get it done, i can offer you my service. You will have to get that D-Link DUB E-100 USB 2.0 adapter and a SD card (8-32GB). I can do it remotely after.
Can also do carplay, Androidauto activation or lifetime maps code with new latest 2022 map.

My name is Mark and am in Australia. I have just purchased a 2019 Touareg and am annoyed with the small Apple Carplay screen. I saw your posts on this topic and am wondering if you could please help to make this Full Screen for me please. Also instead of that D-Link adapter, can any brand of Ethernet adapter be used as I have other ones - ie HP etc.

Hi Mark, yeah i can help. But it is necesarry to have that specific Dlink adapter (DUB E-100 USB 2.0 with the fixed cable not the folding cable model). Its one of the few that the VAG radios support for telnet access.

Has anyone successfully attempt to connect laptop to MIB2?

I have recently bought Dlink dub-e100 adapter but havent successfully connected to MIB.
I have followed the steps from here and set network IP and DNS accordingly:

But havent successfully connected to MIB. In fact even ping to 172.16.250.248 or 172.16.250.245 does not respond (if touareg has the same address as in given example).

You don't have MIB2 in a Touareg so please do not follow a guide for an Audi TT before you damage your radio. Your radio is MIB2P (or specifically MH2P).
