Hi guys, hoping someone can give me a hand.
I want to change the water pump and drain the coolant without making a big mess.
So I found the hose as per attached and connector and have got about 2 litres out through the little plug.
I was going to push a thin hose down through the stem into the bigger hose, but haven't got one thin enough.
Does anyone know how to pull off that plastic connector between the big hose and the radiator? I got the spring clip off, but don't want to break any plastic by pulling with force.
I marked the place on the photo where I want it to come apart, it moves a little bit there must be a trick of sorts?

Not sure there’s trick. You need to break the o ring free that is keeping it in place. Spray a lubricant in there and keep wiggling. That worked for me.

I ended up opening the coolant circuit on the other side, by removing the temperature sensor.
Was able to drain another litre or so, but when I took the pump out it still dumped some on the floor, and kept running and running.
Anyway, it is done now. New pump is tight and works well.
