Is there a tip chip or a vag-com option for the V8 6speed? I had the tranny on my '01 A6 4.2 re-coded and then a chip added. The recode allowed me to hold the car in 1st while in tip mode and the chip made the auto shifting more like a sport mode.

Can you not keep it in 1st when in Tip mode anyway? I can do that on my V8 without any mods to the tranny.
Also, why don’t you just put it in S(port) mode if you want more like a sport mode?

Or, why not get the paddle shifters? They are said to greatly improve the shifting experience due to a smaller amount of throw in the microswitches.
