Time to hit the bar

...or bars, more accurately. :)

I bought a set of Cayenne yellow dot sway bars from Sunset Porsche and had them installed earlier this week. Even though we also mounted snow tires at the same time, the truck feels transformed.

On fresh green 60 series snow tires (Nokian R2 SUV), the Touareg sits much flatter when going through turns. I can't feel any difference in ride.

By the way, Sunset Porsche had a minor bobble in getting my bars shipped. When I called to inquire about my order they acknowledged the error and shipped them via second day air, at their expense. I received the bars and bushings in time for my scheduled appointment with my mechanic.

I strongly recommend the guys at Sunset Porsche (Genuine OEM Porsche Parts | sunsetporscheparts.com) Their pricing was highly competitive and their customer service unbeatable!

The old bars went in the bin. I've stopped collecting used car parts. :)

955-343-701-50 - Front STABILIZER BAR (yellow dot)
955-333-701-30 - Rear STABILIZER BAR (yellow dot)
955-343-792-50 - BRACKET (need 4)
955-333-792-30 - BUSHINGS (need 4)

Total from Sunset Porsche Parts, with shipping, was about $550.

With regard to which you should use for the V10...

The V10 will be a bit heavier in the front than the V6 or V8, so the question is whether you want a bit more roll stiffness in the front. If that were the case you might want to go green dot front, yellow rear. On the other hand, it might not make any difference. You should get some input from people who have upgraded bars on the V10.

That assumes, by the way, that the V6/8 bar is the same as that for the V10. you might want to compare stock part numbers for the V8 and V10 to confirm that the V10 doesn't have a different stock front bar...
