I got my Touareg V8 about 6 weeks ago. Since its been in the shop 4 times for a total of almost 20 days!

It started about 3 weeks after I first got it when I walked intot he garage and the battery was dead. I called VW road side assistance, got a jump start and drove to the dealership. 3 days later I got the car back. 2 days later the battery was dead again. Got a jump and drove to the dealership. 5 days later I got it back supposedly "fixed". 4 days later the battery was dead again! This time they towed it to the dealership where it has been for almost 2 weeks now! They still have NO CLUE where the draw might come from and they told me they are talking to people at Volkswagen on a "support line", which doesn't make me feel very confident in their abilities.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Who can tel me more about the "lemon law"? Does that apply in my case? At this time I do not trust the car or the dealer anymore and I just want to return it and never get a Volkswagen again in my life.

:anger:

Thanks

Olaf

thanks,

i checked that as well as several threads at vwvortex forum. i can't believe how many people actually have this problem - its amazing. we're talking about a $53k car!

among other cars i have owned BMW's, a Mercedes and a Porsche in the past - never have i had such a bad experience!

at this point i have lost total faith in this car and the VW dealer. has anyone actually ever successfully returned their car to VW and got their money back under the lemon law?
