Hi Everyone,

I am thinking about buying a 2010 Touareg TDI Diesel with 25,000 miles on it. I want to to tow a trailer and use it for an everyday car (I live in the city). It looks like the older years need a lot of work, all the time. How are you finding the 2010? Is it pretty reliable? Or is it similar to the older years...which sound like they may frustrate me. I don't want to spend a lot of time going to the dealer to fix things.

The 2010 also has 2 years of warranty.

Any advice is welcome.

Thanks,

Mine has been great and only real issue was the water pump going out, but VW covered that and there was a TSB on it. I would make sure it was taken care of before you purchase it. There was no real mileage concern on that since mileage was all over the place when they went out. Beyond that they have been very good and very little issues at all.

Ditto. I've got over 40k miles on mine now and, other than the water pump needing to be replaced, it's been great.
