The teak interior was one of the things I wanted most and was able to get. The dark carpet looks like it will hide a lot of the accumulated grime that made the beige interior of my Passat look grubbier than it was, while the carpeting isn't so black that the hairs from my Jack Russell terriers will stand out too horribly when I stop cleaning the car every week. The vavonna wood trim is beautiful and nowhere near as dark as the wood trim for the other colors.
The teak leather looks wonderful, and it looks like it will stand up well to the aforementioned Jack Rusells, my almost five year old daughter and her friends and climbing in and out of the T'reg in barn or other outdoors clothes. It's not too hot, so far, in a Washington DC summer, and it looks invitingly cozy for the fall and winter weather ahead.
In the two weeks that I've had my Touareg, I've already received a lot of positive comments from strangers about the teak interior.
