Hi, I'm just after some advice.

We have a 2008 TDI 3.0 V6 touareg which has been a great vehicle until recently. It's just clocked over 200,000km's, in the past 6 months we have had to replace the turbo, DPI sensor and now it's going in on Tuesday for a EGR replacement. This has all happened in the last 6 months at great expense.

Has anyone else had ALL of these problems, if so, what other problems can we expect - or is it time to sell it.

Also what's the average km's that people get from this model?

Any advice greatly appreciated :)

Mine's done 170,000. It's on it's third EGR cooler, third set of flapper rods(needs the bushes doing now as well) and it's had a complete fuel system replacement, all pumps and injectors which is a ~$13,000 repair if you go to VW. That's without the numerous electronic sensor failures, 12 to date.

Some Touaregs put in the miles quite happily, others don't.

They're not cheap to fix and as they get older they'll be more likely to go wrong.

That's just life with an ageing used car I'm afraid.

Sell it if you are unhappy as you have still got the prop shaft and valve chest in the gearbox yet to fail along with the Kessy system and the battery if your car is going for the full Monty!
