T3 X-pipe resonator delete

Sounds good.
I found the video below that shows the install process on a T3.
I had my resonators replaced with an x-pipe and the chambered unit after them bypassed. It has a nicer sound but I'm not happy with their weld job as there are small leaks. I might buy this pipe from ECS and replace it all myself.

install is pretty simple. Honestly the hardest part is the OEM clamps being rusted up. took me about 1hr to install. Fitment and build quality were surprisingly good for the cost of the part. Was the bypass you did the same as a Cayenne bypass? i know you can toss a pipe into the suite case to basically straight pipe the rear muffler section. is this the same idea on the Touaregs?

I never touched the suitcase. Bypass was of the two resonators with an x-pipe and the secondary unit before the suitcase with piping.

Nice… I have it sitting in my cart at ECS tuning I’m planning to install one also on my 2014. I tried to do the suitcase muffler modification like I did on my 2005 Porsche Cayenne S with no luck on the T3.

Do you have any other exhaust mods done? It seem louder then the others I've heard.

Nope fully stock besides the Xpipe. To be fair i live in a very quiet wooded area so that could be making it seem louder? inside the cabin there isn't much change in tone. Did have my brother in law in the back seat recently and he claims it is louder to him but that could just be him.

Installed mine last week. Wasn't as loud as I thought. Cul-de-sac friendly for sure but I still like the sound. For comparison when I removed the suitcase on my 3.6 CC the house windows would rattle on cold start.

If you're talking about the CC I traded it 4 years ago for the Touareg. My son got maximum noise enjoyment out of it whenever he visited I assure you.
