I may be wrong, but I think the change to 433 was later than your model year.

There's a post about the year change on the UK site. I'll have a look.

EDIT: Yes, according to this thread it changed in MY2015.

There's also chatter elsewhere about having to insert the sensors in a device the tire companies have to activate them to the correct mhz.

But isn't your car 2011 not 2015 therefore using the 3xx mhz and not the later 433?

Call in at your local VW dealer and ask them to print off the build sheets, also called data sheets, for your car. I've lost count of the number of times I've posted this advice, but every owner should get them - several pages of useful info!

Hopefully, it might show even the TPMS code!

OK for S&G's I called the local VW parts dept. They confirmed 433MHz for my Treg based on my VIN#.

Got the new tires and sensors mounted. Before the mechanic even got the vehicle
pulled out of the shop the pressure for each tire was reading accurately for each wheel... without even using any programming tool. He even thanked me for buying those sensors because they are "The Best". His words not mine.
So to reiterate that was Huf RDE048V21 433MhZ that I used on my 2011 Treg and they worked flawlessly right out of the gate.
Good. At least we now know that VW used 315 and 433 but in different markets for several years!

I wonder if they now only use 433 worldwide . . .
