So my friends at the Speed Academy show how to remove and install the T3 TCM here:

They remove the 4 seat bolts, but it is a great video that shows its location as well as the slide lock connector...

Thank you gents!

Some what helpful, the hardest part is to replace it back in and get it snapped up, which he doesn't show! After skinning up my hands to bleeding I gave up, and mine lays under that metal cover on the floor unfastened.
I'm glad SA is doing these Touareg videos, informative and helpful. I'm interested in the VW spoiler now, but from what I saw on VW sight, its $425! Not sure if that is what he paid for it or if I'm looking at the right one?
Swapped my TCU yesterday (Thanks yrktreg :) ) I found it easier to remove from the rear of seat. Put seat in full forward and full height. Raise carpet and reach in. As turbospool stated, I had a harder time clipping it back in.....

Anyone know what vehicles have the same module that would be used in the Q7? I plan to go to the junk yard to find one that is totaled so that I can pull the module. Is the Touareg one the same as the Q7?

Can anyone post up the best way and best tips to complete this swap? Seems like the videos lacks a few details and such.
II replacing the TCM just plug and play no VCDS programing?
My 2004 V10 Is not shifting past 4th Gear. I Replaced solenoids N88 and N899 no luck.
Yes! Just make sure that the part number of the modules are the same.

It could also be the valve body. Revmax was doing replacement valve bodies, not sure if they still are or not.
I don’t understand how to locate the tabs to pull out the TCM. I can’t see anything they way it’s located and for some reason can’t feel the tabs either. The video is honestly not super helpful.
