I just finished replacing the rear turn signals on my T3, MY 2011 TDI. The process was time consuming due to finding the correct bulb. The actual changing process was easy.

The original bulb was labelled Philips 2498. I went to Autozone and they said I needed to use 7507 bulb which is a orange bulb, but this does not work with the rear turn signals which are a clear bulb. I did some research and found that if you type in the correct make, model and year information Autozone's website it recommends using 7506 bulb, and this is clear bulb!!!! So Autozone's internal database is not correct a long with their books sitting on the shelf.

So hopefully this information will help others that needed to replace their rear turn signal bulb.

Did you have any problem re-engaging the central screw into the lamp assembly?
Yes I had difficulties, had to make sure the assembly was mounted properly to get the screw to engage properly.
