No idea if the same availability exists for you in Germany, but the North American version of this plug is nearly universal and available for pretty cheap online. See here for example of what we use:

http://www.amazon.com/Pollak-11-893P-7-Way-Sealed-Socket/dp/B000B6NQHW

Might remove the plug from the Treg and do a search for your generic equivalent. Also read the reviews on the link above, it looks like the most recent review was by someone in Germany.

I ordered now on German www this connector.

http://www.automotive-connectors.co...-socket-flat-version-with-protection-cap.html

The OEM inlet does not fit into the new housing so I needed to take the wires out and put them into the new inlet.

All fine.

Of note, the OEM Plug was attached with two different screws.
One was slotted, and in the above OEM welded bolt nut, the
other screw a Phillips screw in a drilled hole with burrs on the end and mounted with a bolt nut.

Not nice done in quality for my view. So I will use now 2 stainless steel M5 screws ...
