After a short, but exhaustive search for the accessory aluminum & rubber pedal covers for my 2013, I was told by my local VW dealership's parts department that VW has yet to address the issues with covers for the T3s. Apparently, there are pedal covers available for the T3, but after the parts manager spoke to VW directly, their notes on the available pedal covers indicate they do not fit properly. The dealership parts representative was not able to look up the covers, but was able to look up the accelerator pedal cover after I gave the part number. I was not able to provide a part number for the brake pedal cover, but the part number I was able to provide for the accelerator pedal is 7L6721647A. If any of you know of any pedal covers that will fit a T3, I welcome that information.

Mr. Fincher,

Thank you for the information! I was reminded to call ECS Tuning to verify that the pedal covers they sell will fit my 2013 and they claim that they will. I was told they would provide a refund if they do not fit. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine...brushed-stainless-pedal-cap-brake/3d1723173a/

The pedal covers sold on the parts.vw.com fit up to a 2010.

How did you come to have your pedal covers installed? Did the dealer open the mounting holes the 0.125" to accommodate the T1 covers?

You have confirmed my suspicions that the various trim levels do not have unique pedals. Thank you for that, Mr. Fincher. I feel more assured now of the pedal covers I will be receiving from ECS Tuning now.

Over the years, I have purchased many items from ebay.de and thank you for the suggestion. Thankfully, German is one of my languages (although not as fluent as I once was) and in the old days (early 90's), I would call up the Stiftung Auto Museum in Wolfsburg to order "birth certificates" for my extra special Volkswagens and would have to rely on my ability to speak German to place the order. So navigating ebay.de is not too difficult, but if I get stuck, I have a dictionary or use the translate option. Last week, I ordered a brushed aluminum trim plate for the headlight switch from ebay.de. I expect to install that when the day comes that I have rear fog lights.

Also, when I was on ebay.de last week, I did find a set of pedal covers and the fitment chart indicated they would fit my 2013, but at €144.00 for the set, I felt it was best to be as sure as possible of the fitment, lest I find myself in an international return/refund situation. I could tell a few nightmare stories of this predicament, particularly years ago when I was sourcing parts for my 1955 Beetle.

I received and installed my Rennline dead pedal cover today. I am very happy with it and am now looking forward to receiving my gas and accelerator pedal caps from ECS Tuning. A curious thing about photos is that they always seem to show me something that needs to be cleaned; hood release and carpet. Perhaps in the future there will be a "VW" or "Touareg" logo to affix to the Rennline dead pedal.

I agree with Dachshund.Power; I have had no issues at all with my Rennline dead pedal. After installation, it has been sturdy and feels like it will be there forever.

How did they turn out? I'm looking to get pedal covers to roughly match the Rennline dead pedal and these seem like they are a good option...
Dachshund.Power, my Rennline dead pedal is perfect and installed in a matter of minutes. I know it was a worthwhile, practical investment. My wide feet were beginning to wear out the unprotected carpet. My pedal covers have not been installed yet. I have heard so many stories of them either needing minor adjustments (mounting holes for the brake cover) or just plain aggravating to try to get installed. So I am planning on having the dealership install them for me when I go in for my 40K service. I bought mine from ECS Tuning and they look great and I am eager to see them on my pedals. I hope you post photos of yours when you get them installed.

Dachshund.Power, I will definitely be posting photos after they are installed. Perhaps there should be a T3 "go to" thread that addresses T3 issues, such as these pedal covers?

Thank you for posting the information, Dachshund.Power! I am glad you got it installed. I feel better about attempting to install them myself now.
