has anyone intentionally closed their sunshade while opening the sun roof? I’m car camping a lot and this would be a huge help

There's an interlock so that you can't have the shade closed with the roof open - if the shade is closed and you open the roof to the vent position, the shade will retract about 4".

On a T3. Not on a T1-2. But we don’t know what OP has because he didn’t give any info at all in his post.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster. Just ceramic tint the panoramic if you're worried about heat.

It would be nice to be able to open the roof and close the shade, in order to clean off the detritus that collects when you inadvertently leave the subroof vented and stuff accumulates on the shade.
