I just purchased at auction a 2005 Touareg with a 3.2v6. When I picked it up it had the 4 high, low lights were blinking in the center console. I checked the stepper motor and it was disconnected and the plug taped and zip tied out of the way. I hooked it back up and all seems fine. I don't hear weird sounds when shifting to 4 low or locking the center diff and it turns in tight circles fine(I read that could be a sign of a bad motor). I took it for a 45 mile drive and all seems fine. Anyone have any ideas as to way the motor would be unplugged? I do have a yellow triangle with a arrowed circle around it lit on my dash. Not sure what that means I dont have a manual. Any help would be great.
