That was one of my concerns as well. As an electrician for over 30 years, I am always looking for the safest and mose efficient way to wire something. The method that was illustrated above will work, but it wouldn't be my choice for a "clean install".aircooled said:Bob, there is switched power from the HomeLink panel in the overhead console. If you do the fuse box route, make sure that the wire does not wrap around the a pillar. If the airbags go off, they will likely rip that wire out and will probably pull your radar detector and make it another flying object in the cabin.
