Hey Everyone,
Thought I'd ask - my '08 V6 has a slight vibration or shutter, when slowly accelerating, between 45-50 mph. I've only owned it for approx 3-1/2 months and I've only noticed this in the last 4 weeks or so. Other info:
1. I notice it first thing in the morning or evening, going to or coming home from work. I notice it when I get on the on ramp and I'm slowly accelerating. Once I get past 50 mph, it smooths out and rides great.
2. I put a new set of Yokohama Geolander A/T-S tires on it 2 months ago.
3. Approx 4-6 weeks ago, I increased the tire pressures to around 44/38 (rear/front).
4. Its been cold up here, during this same time period, anywhere from -10F to 30F.
5. During this same period, almost all of my driving has been to/from work. So, I can't speak to the vibes on a longer drive with everything warmed up.
6. The vibration or shutter is slight, but, noticeable.
Anyone have any ideas? Tire balance issue? I searched through the forum and see there are some reporting almost the exact problem, but, they're driving '09-10 V6 TDI's.
Thanks,
Mark
