I have requests from members for plates for the US.
As in previous posts looking for some way of doing a group but to make shipping more cost effective.
Not sure how this would be exactly done but open to suggestions.

I now have plate designs available for
- T1 V10 pre dpf filter
- T1 V8
- T2 V10 with dpf filter
- T2 V6 tdi
- T2 V8
- T3 V6 tdi

Plates will be the same as the attached except for the minor profile changes at the rear to clear different exhausts and the engine layouts.
They come with all they mounting hardware and instructions.
All 6mm alloy plate.
Writing can be what ever is requested or none at all.

If interested PM when you get a chance.

regards
Drag

I'm actually working with a local company to see if it's feasible to do a light bar + plate setup for my T3 that doesn't interfere with park sensors.

HOMEPAGE | Gorilla Offroad Company

I'm talking to them as a custom one-off though, as I kind of get the idea that the number of people in the US with a T3 who want something like this is possibly single digits.

Derek's a great guy - if you do want to look into a US 'partner' maybe give him a ring.

If you are still selling, how much to ship to Phoenix AZ? I have a 2009 T2 V6. Also do you (or anyone else) have any spare tire options. currently I am storing it in the hatch but it takes up needed gear room.

I just pm'd drag about a plate this morning as well. Maybe we could save ourselves a little cash by sending them both to one location and then shipping one of them via GreyHound Package Express to the other location.

The only options for a spare that I know of are the cbi offroad spare tire carrier that mounts to the tow hitch or putting it on the roof.

I'd be interested in a T1 V8 plate, so maybe a small group buy is forming?

Guys
If you are interested I would ship to the US not sure of the cost but a group package to one location then one of you ship the others out if you know what I mean.
Plates + mounts are now $620 Aud + shipping ??
Made to order 50% deposit to start.

For those metrically challenged....

It's aprox. 55" x 24" x 6". : D

I have been sitting on the fence about one, too.

If we want a group buy, we should figure out a central location for shipping, too.

So far, I see:

Phoenix, AZ: mtbrooster 2009 T2 V6
CO: philthyphil 2012 T? V6 TDI
Denver, CO: FSJ Guy 2008 T2 V8
Portland OR: alhutch 2005 T1 V8

Anyone else on board?

Not trying to detract from Draglines thread, but as an affordable NA alternative, I just bought a steel skid plate set for my 2012 TDi from the Kolchuga company in Kiev (they have some on ebay, they go by kolchugacompany)It's 2mm (about .100") galvanized and coated steel with longitudinal stiffening ribs, mounted on three transverse 1/4" X 1 1/2" steel crossbars (at about 9-10" spacing under the engine). With a separate transmission and transfer case plate. 55lb total, 63" long by about 27 1/2" wide together. It mounts quite easily to the subframe rails, over the existing plastic under shroud, and will reduce clearance by about 3/4". Quite sturdy enough for protection on gravel and FSR travel, I think, and affordable. It cost me a total of $400usd, with airfreight shipping included. Took about two weeks to get to Vancouver BC.
They seem to make skid plates for about 1000 different car models, I guess given the state of Russian and Eastern European roads, they're a popular initial add on!
I've pre-fitted them (a good fit) done a couple of very minor mods, and will be putting them on shortly.

Hello dragline 1570 I have just joined the forum and am keen to purchase a skid plate from you for a MY10 V6TDI 7L. I have just noticed you live in Maitland. Is that Maitland NSW 2320? This would be unbelievable if you are, as I am as well. Lol.
