Do only the vehicles that are equipped with the Nav option get the multi colored screens? You know, the one that says Touareg in bright colors when you get in the car.

Yep... No Nav and you only get a standard display.

It's actually 2 color: Red for normal indications - Yellow for warnings (IE: Tire pressure, etc.)

Well, not exactly. Even without the Nav option, you still get the pretty colored screen (sand dunes, etc) when you get in the car, but from there on it is not multi-colored.

Graphics on my V8

Are you sure? When I start my engine, there are no graphics. Just a warning signal that I need to put on my seat belts. Or, if my belts are on, it goes to the last place that I was on the screen when I turned off my engine .

I dont know why I was under the impression that the V8 has a nicer screen, even without NAV. It seems like I have a V6 screen. But, I dont get the gas mileage of a V6..LOL

Please inform me, if anyone knows. Maybe because my car was an earlier production date...07/03. Did they change the screen on later models?

I'd like to know if I am missing out on anything and if I am, what?

I have a base V6. No "color" screen - just the red/yellow display.

Hi,

I didnt have Nav but I have Air suspension. With that config you get the Multiclor Screen (The Dunes Picture) and the dashboard lights are white pearl, The Radio lights remains Blue. So, I got White lights on dash, Color Screen, Blue lights on Radio and Air con temperature indicator and red lights on all the rest....:confused2:

Maybe I'll take a pic one these days.....

Makes perfect sense as my car doesnt have the NAV option or the Air option...

So, I have a simple screen.
