Not sure of the R50 antenna location ex-factory. Maybe Bails or someone else who owns one, will chime in.

The factory GPS antenna is located under the front right mudguard (fender). If you are replacing it with a puck antenna, just leave the OEM unit in place.

Thanks Steve. Checked ebay, cheap. Where is this located in the car? I am guessing this unit finds the satellites. Is there any way I can check in the car if it has found any satellites?

Press the Map Button twice and select GPA Data from drop down list.
