Duff batteries in a Touareg can set off warning lights.
You have two batteries in a V10.
The rear battery in the boot/trunk starts the car whilst the under the front seat battery does the ancillaries but it will start the car if the rear battery is duff.
For what little extra it costs, if I replaced one battery then I would always change both if they're a few years old.
