I have a 2014 Treg RLine TDI with 150k miles. Seems like the ride quality has recently gotten worse. Wonderful vehicle (my second) with very few issues. I know the RLine has a more aggressive ride but wonder if anyone has experienced suspension wear contributing to ride quality?

Your dampers are tired. Not to mention all the rubber bushings and such.

The original T1/T2 suffer from front end rot, for lack of a better term.

It would be good to have the entire suspension looked over. If it was an earlier model, I would say that you need most of the rubber bushings replaced.

Also, at 150,000 miles, it is time to double check the shocks.

Your choice of tires can also make an impact on the firmness or otherwise of the ride.
