I recently contacted my local service advisor to find out if I could install bluetooth into my current unit. My current setup does not include bluetooth, but has a phone button on the bottom left of my head unit (if that helps to identify it). I do not have any phone buttons on my steering wheel, but do have volume buttons, cruise control etc.
The service advisor informed me that he would be able to install a retrofit bluetooth kit for roughly $1000-2000.
I would like to do this job myself to get to know my truck better and save some money in the process
. I came here to find out:
1. What are my retrofit options?
2. I have not been able to find any guides online or in the forums for this specific job. Would the kit come with usable instructions? If not could you point me in the right direction?
3. Roughly how many hours would this job take? Special tools? etc.
