Howdy folks-
I've got a 2006 V10 that I picked up a few months ago and decided to tackle the gooey intakes, throttle bodies, and EGR valves. Now, after pulling the alternator and oil filter/cooler assembly to clean the mess under there and collect a dropped bolt or two... It is time to put everything back together. I'm picking up either Elsawin or a Bentley manual since I like the Touareg and will be doing more maintenance for sure, but I need a few torque specs to get the current project complete. Can anyone supply torque values for the following?
Alternator mounting bolts (x4)
Oil filter/cooler mounting bolts (x4)
Fuel Rail mounting bolts (x10)
Intake manifold bolts (x18)
EGR cooler mounting bolt (X1)
Oil filter upper housing mounting bolts (x4)
Throttle body, EGR valve to intake mounting bolts (x8)
Tandem pump to head mounting bolts (x3)
EGR pipes to EGR cooler bolts (x8)
I did search through the forum and found a few miscellaneous torque values and they are listed below for convenience to others.
Glow Plugs -18NM
Fuel filter drain screw (2006 version) -5NM
I'm going to call my local dealer to see if they will supply some numbers as well. I've got a the sympathies of the parts dept and a few techs... I'll update with any numbers identified.
