Hi, I have a 2015 Touareg. I want to install a neoprene seat cover to protect the rear seats. I cannot see how you remove the rear seat cushion (just the cushion / not the metal frame). I know in Audi Q5 and Tiguan you just pull the front corner of the seat upwards (quite hard) and they unclip. I cannot find any details for the Touareg. Has anyone done this before and can give some guidance?? thanks

It's pretty much the same on the Touaregs. However on some mid T3's and up the front of the seat cushion requires you to hold back a catch on the plastic retainer that holds the seat cushions front "U-Frame" that goes into them.
I found this out when I changed my '11's seats for a '15's seats.
On my '11 you just pull up the front of the cushion. On the '15 there's a "catch" that must be held back to pull the cushions up.

I remember someone posted the pdf about how to take out the cushion. My guide is below and as you can see now i am ordering these 5 secure colloars

after removal, and studying this secure collar mechanism, now i could understand how to take it out gracefully without damaging it.

Yes this is not an easy job - I did manage to leverage them open with a screwdriver (only broke 1 clip) and the rest survived - however it was bloody difficult and being 6'2" and 110kgs it was certainly not easy contorting myself upside down to be able to see what i was doing - probably easier if you are a midget. Haha.

😁 I went through the same struggle. The most misguiding design is the tab, the instict is pulling it. and maybe my hook tool is too thin, all 5 tab were broken and i felt so frustrated. Anyway, i mamaged to find the part number which is 7P0-886-373-A and order it.
