re:Offroad trails in 19s? Trails in Georgia?

So, are we doomed if we want to check out a minor off road trail with the 19s? I need some help cajoling the wife into living it up a bit :joy: I'd love to car camping off the beaten path and take the Touareg to a relatively low key trail that we can drive with the 19s.

She loves the new truck, although she's kinda surprised how much gas it guzzles....hehehe, remarked how 'mean' it sounded taking off.....net result is 10..8 mpg---> thats my girl :joy:

Will post more on delivery, overall thoughts after spending more time in the truck. kinda having some radio issues though. 'fuzzy' reception. *gulp*

It should not be a problem. I did some off-roading on sand dunes and mountains with a BMW X5 4.4i with the sport pack which had some huge rims and low profile Michelin 4x4 tires. Even the 4.6is with its 20s was fine.

If you know what the terrain looks like, and would be sure that you won't damage the rims, then there really is no reason to worry. I've even used standard H/T road tires on another 4x4 on the same routes.
