In the 3.5 weeks since shopping and susequently ordering a Touareg, I still have not seen a single Touareg here in Perth. OTOH, I have seen 4 Lexus RX330, 3 Cayennes, 5 XC90s, 2 MDXs.

Even trolling around a local boat show, where there were lots of 4wd's, there was a Cayenne, but no Touareg.

Are they this rare??

I agree. I just ordered by Black V8 (Kristal Gray). In the past 3 weeks I have driven, I have seen 5 Touaregs. I have seen countless numbers of MDX's, FX35's, RX330's, XC90's and others...it is very strange!

There's hardly any near me, either. I think that's a good thing. You're not driving the same cookie-cutter piece of crap that trolls down the road.
