Raise Air Suspension Default Height

Hi guys,

I've heard of people lowering their default air suspension height, can I just do the opposite by entering lower values (EG. Rear current is 479mm, change to 469mm to raise 10mm etc)

I want to do this as I don't like how low the car is even in normal/comfort mode. Most other SUV's seem to sit higher.

I'm only thinking of doing this so I can fit 275/50/20 tyres without scrubbing and I've seen a few Range Rover Sport's around which ride nice and high which I like.

I assume that the car will also sit slightly higher in sport mode too etc

Also is it ok so that front and rear are the same height, I don't like the front being slightly lowe from factory as I never tow plus it has air suspension so it should self level anyway

Regards
Amir

Yeap, you can but im not sure it will let you input "+10mm" directly. Try small steps like 5 mm, your measured value -5mm.
Take in consideration that It will drive like a boat afterwards, being so high.
Default values, as per service manual, are:
Front Strut: 475 ± 10 mm
Rear Strut: 483 ± 10 mm

I made my 7L rear and front height square after installing the lift kit… looks and feels better than with raised rear…

Not sure how it would be with normal suspension… Any raise makes your suspension travel shorter and stiffer. I would install small lift kit and then square it…

Hi Amir, have a look at Wallace Offroad website. He is in Qld and is doing an air suspension lift kit for Tregs and Cayenne 15-20 mm Lift kit Air suspension 955/957/958 T1/T2/T3 I just received his bash plate (yet to install ) but good to have some local support for this platform.

Should be pretty easy. I have mine lowered about 1.5". a 10mm adjustment shouldn't be an issue. I'm surprised you think it sits too low in normal/mode 3. I think it's still way too high. If I need the ground clearance I select mode 4 or 5.

If you do adjust the basepoint, you should loosen and retorque all the control arms so that the bushings aren't twisted, then get an alignment.

I don't know if it's because there's not enough nitrogen in the system or what but the car has a mind of its own

The steering weight changes randomly as I drive, sometimes the front's higher, sometimes the right side is lower than the left side, I don't understand🤷‍♂️

Did that last week, sprayed all with WD40 and raised car from lowest to highest height, no issues or warnings

Since I recalibrated it the proper way it's been fine (touch wood)
