Weird problem here. I've had my Touareg about 3 weeks now, and it's happened 3 or 4 times. The volume on my radio (standard non-nav unit) just starts to fade out, nearly to zero. If I change stations or tracks, it might come back up, and then fade again. After a minute or so, it'll work fine again, usually after I turn the unit off, then back on. Anyone seen this behavior?

Do I have a defective radio? Or is it supposed to fade to mute for some reason? Or is it telling me "Houston we have a problem...."?

that would either be an issue with the radio or steering wheel controls at some point. The only way to determine is to catch it in the act with a multimeter on the trigger wire from the steering wheel control wire.
