Can anyone adivse me of the average economy they are recieving from their 5cyl 2.5 TDi with either manual or tiptronic gearbox please?

In the UK the V6 is a cheaper used buy, but I guess that is then lost on the extra petrol it drinks.

I want a Touareg as a replacement for my Peugeot 307 and Camel Trophy Freelander. (Camel will take a while to sell, or recieve half its value if traded in at a dealer) I am not particularly bothered about air suspension or leather upholstery. The basic spec' provides me with everyhting I would need for a safe, comfy commute and green laner, everything else above that is a bonus

Thanks H

28mpg to 36mpg pick the middle.
I got 36mpg on motorway at 70mph in R5 but I'm noted as leisurely driver.
My V10 does 22.9mpg over last 3,400 mls. and 28mpg on long runs with 15mpg in city use only.
