Curious if anyone has dealt successfully with VW on a buyback for a used purchase. I have a 2004, V6 originally sold in Spet 03, with 40k on it that I bought used on March 25th of this year. I LOVE DRIVING THIS CAR, but out of the 14 weeks that I've had it, it has spent more than 6 weeks in the shop! Not for repeated problems, but for many different issues including:
O2 Sensors,
Catalytic converter,
Heating and cooling system problems,
Brake problems,
Transmission problems (towed in for this one),
Electrical problems (mirrors, windows, radio),
Hood latch replacement,
Noise issues,
Trim replacement,
and others
Last time it was in, I asked for the service records and found out it's been on the road for 33 months and has 28 service records for warranty work.
Just curious, since I'm the second owner if there might be any chance VW would talk, based on anyone elses experience.
Also read over the NC Lemon Law and don't find anything that limits this to the original purchaser, but I think I'd have to show proof that it spent more than 30 days in the shop in the first 24 months, which may be difficult since I didn't own it during that period.
What's your opinions? What would you do?
