CD Changer Problem

Just lately I've been having problems with the CD Changer not reading the CD. I either get a CD error or it says no CD, even though I have all six slots full of CD's. I even tried moving the CD's around to a different slot and instead of one CD error, got 2 more No CD errors. All the CD's I'm playing are store bought and none of them are burned CD's.

I haven't taken it in to the dealer yet for this problem. I thought I would check the website to see if other people were having the same problem, and it looks like there are other defective CD changers out there. I'll keep you posted when I take it into the dealer for this problem.

 

Just tell the dealer to order you a new one... I had three in my old Toaureg. The last one seemed to not have bugs.

 

Problems with Fujifilm cd's

My CD player (Sound Sys. II) has been skipping since day one with all of my burned discs made on Fujifilm media.
No problems inserting/ejecting, but an annoying skip nonetheless.

THen, last week I pop in an old burned cd I made on Memorex media, and it played flawlessly. Pretty sure difference was in the memorex cd having a white sheet ontop, and the fuji's havings a silver cover (more laser reflection going on?) Both CD's were made using the same Nero 6 program, no probs playing in the Alpine deck of my other ride.

Needless to say that it's hard to enjoy the ride while 'skipping' through your favorite compilations. :anger:

Has anyone had any luck with other CD brands? Any input welcome, thanks for listening...

 

Stereo unit was replaced in my wife's car when the very first cd inserted was stuck inside the unit. This happened 3 hours after purchase. Now the stereo will play fine ecxept that when a cd has been in for a while, at roughly track 10 it will be rudely ejected during play.
Have not been back to check this prob. yet.

I use TDK and have no issues with any CD player reading them... Hopefuly that is your issue... pretty inexpensive fix to that issue!
