Hi, I am new here. I was wondering if someone can help me. My passenger power window stopped working. I removed the door panel to check if the motor was the issue. It appears to work fine. When I removed the 3 bolts that hold the motor on, I notices a metal cable wrapped (oddly) around the gear. Is this correct? I looks as if it is the issue. Should this cable be there?

Thank you. I got in a little further....looks like the window regulator is shot!.

it sure is....especially with what is charged in Ireland to get it fixed. The current best quote is 250 euro!!!! Ouch!!
