Sorry if this has already been covered, but I've been having problems posting pictures from photobucket.

For pictures to be hosted, do they have to be in the member gallery here? When I post my pictures, they initially show up just fine, but then I'll go back to the thread later and they appear to be broken.

Some picture hosting providers have a problem when they are linked to externally, mostly to reduce bandwidth and funnel visitors to their site. You can host link to pictures from the gallery that ClubTouareg offers, or you can attach a picture to a post using the 'Attach Files' function in the main editor. If you don't see the 'Attach Files' option, go in to the advanced editor and you should see it there.

That's the problem. Originally, they showed up just fine for me. Then at some later point, the links changed.

For example, in this thread:
http://www.clubtouareg.com/forums/f52/mount-herman-24340.html#post156934

I had some pictures posted in this format:

{IMG}http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m180/Thelnferno/Touareg/big_view-1.jpg{/IMG}

(Where the curly brackets are straight brackets)...

...but at some later point, they are showing up as:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m180/Thelnferno/%20%3Ca%20id=hotkeylink%20href=misc.php?do=hotkey&searchTerm=Touareg>Touareg</a> /big_view.jpg

That might be the forum software screws up the link because of the word Touareg. I'll mention this to AndyR, it's not the first time I've seen this.

Oh, I see what you mean. "Touareg" is one of those key words that the software will automatically underline/link. Since my file path has "Touareg" in the string, it sees that and treats that as a hot link and changes the file path.

Makes sense. I'll change the name in my photobucket path.

Exactly. Try the change of path to confirm that this is the problem, but we still need to fix the hotlink problem on our end.

Your welcome. I placed a trouble ticket outlining this problem.
