I've read through nearly all the EGR delete threads here and on Mytreg.
I'm wondering if it's possible to VAG/VCDS out the EGR system on the T1 V10?
I installed block off plates on both the intake AND exhaust and removed the pipes when I cleaned the intake while rebuilding the drivers side fuel pump.
There were some mention of a tune that included EGR delete.

Is there any work around?

As far as I know you need a tune to delete (disable) the EGR. If you do the EGR you should do the DPF delete too.

No DPF on early V10 TDI's.

Just buy a later model. The highway defeat is already built into to software.

If you installed blanking plates and the CEL stays off, then you are done. No need to change software.

That's the point. I'm still getting a CEL for incorrect EGR flow.
I had read that quite a few earlier V10's would set a code but apparently mine didn't make the cut.
In one reading someone mentioned that a 7mm feed was all that's needed, I may pursue that, but other than the MIL and "EXHAUST WORKSHOP" there haven't been any noticeable drawbacks so far.
Jus looking to eliminate the MIL AND keep the delete.

What engine do you have ?
You should not have a EGR cooler so what is telling the ECU you have no flow ?
Mine and at least 2 others have EGR delete and we get no faults at all?

approach a tuner then. Pumpe Duse engines can not have the EGR turned down with VCDS. You need a tuner to adjust the mapping parameters.

I don't have EGR coolers but I've read that the ECU uses the 02 sensors to read the EGR effects and adjusts them accordingly.
