I have a 2004 touareg v8. It only has 29k on it. got in last week and started and the whole dash was out, gauges, lights etc., plus the cooling fan continuously runs on high. Dealer is telling me that the body control module is talking to the steering control module but the steering control module is not doing its job - Steering control module needs to be replaced. We are looking at over $2500.00 parts and labor to replace. Warranty ended november of 2008. BTW I have only put about 1000 miles on it since November. Have contacted Voa but dont expect much as I have contacted them before and got nothing out of them. Looking to see if this problem exist in other touaregs and if there was any TSB issued.
Problem is I cant drive car and to be honest I dont have $2500+ right now.
