I was wondering if anyone out there has had any scarring issues with their Pike's Peak wheels? My 2014 Touareg Exec is just one year old with 22k miles. These wheels look like they are 15 years old. It appears thy are made of plastic with silver paint. Great looking wheel but the spokes extend out past the tire and are over exposed to contact.

When it comes down to it, the only person that cares about how your wheels look is you. No one else even cares a little bit.

I have the PPeaks on my 2012 and they look fine to me and I have 46,000+ miles on my wheels.

The wheels can only get scarred if you are hitting things with them . . .

That is driver error, not the wheels' fault.

This is an old post but rather than start a new one I'll give my question a shot here. For the life of me - I can't find a definitive picture of the 20" Pikes Peak VW wheels next to the 20" Mallory wheels that came on my 2014 R-Line. I think I've seen both in different shots but I'm not sure and I've yet to see the two side by side. They seem awfully similar to me and that's why I'd like to see them side by side. Reason I'm curious is that I think I'm trading in mine in on a very low mileage 2014 Executive. Most folks in a separate post said they wouldn't trade for a lower mileage Touareg but the one I'm pulling the trigger on spent its life in sunny Florida on pothole free roads and has 40,000 fewer miles. To most folks that's not a good thing but to me it is $5,000 well spent.
