If the fuel is directly injected into the combustion chamber, how does using BG K44 (or any other additive) clean the valves? The fuel never hits the top side of the valves. It's just air (and oil from EGR) going in.

I've used K44 on wet flow (carb and TBI) systems before, but I don't see how it can help an FSI motor.
