Well, it's getting very close to that crazy time of year again.

So how about we step it up and throw in a Touareg get-together?

Location: Yahava Coffee Works, 4752 W Swan Rd, West Swan WA

Date: 19th November (Saturday)

Time: It opens up at 9am, and from experience, can get quite busy early.

Great catchup this morning.
The V8s are gaining in popularity (sorry @snodrogs :ROFLMAO: )

Great to see Richard and Robyn, Andrew, John, Steve (not me), Dave and Ivan there. (yep 2 x Steve)

And the award for the biggest enthusiast goes to John, who has 3 Touaregs in his care now (but probably for nut much longer) R50, 7P R Line and a 7P 150TDI.

Hi Werner, great to hear from you.
Where are you located now?
Doesn't have to be a 'formal' GTG to catchup. If you're up this side of the Rio Grande and want a coffee.... sing out ;)

from experience it probably better to give people plenty of time to arrange attendance so perhaps an early may meet on a saturday i would throw my hat in for a meet such as this i may act as coordinator for those that may want to consider such a time the venue is one i do not have anyhistory with but lets say its the one has it enough parking available and for those attending 5 dollars toward a lotto systems ticket so everyone has a common something to look forward to after the event to futher bind the meet and the gathering everything catalogued to be above board on the day cheers colin

not sure what you are trying to imply Colin.
Are you a WA member? Is 5 - 6 weeks insufficient notice (we've never had a problem with notification lead time before).
The meet time for the last event was 9am. No point getting there earlier, as the establishment isn't open before then.

These 'gatherings' are impromptu, an opportunity for like minded enthusiasts to have a social experience, and I'm not sure how a 'lotto' group further binds the meeting.

There is (IMHO) no need for a formal co-ordinator to do this. A lot of people expect me to 'organise' these gatherings, but it is not something I am trying to entitle myself with. All it takes is for someone to say "Hey...gonna be at XYZ on Saturday for a quick coffee/meal/drive....anyone want to tag along?"
(Well - that has always been my modus operandi..... making it any more 'formal' with rules/conditions/$$$ tends to drive folks away).
