Sounds like you replaced the entire headlight assembly with a new one due to damage to the assembly and it does not work on the passenger side but does work when plugged into the drivers side ? Is this interpretation correct? Is the new unit an OEM unit or after market ? Do you have VCDS or equivalent volkswagen specific scanner to scan your car for faults? if not you and the rest of us just guessing

 

I installed a new assembly due to the headlight and led tube both being out and I didn't wanna get into replacing the led tube separate. With the new assembly the led tube is now working but still no headlight (high or low beam). I do have the scanner that runs the entire system check but it just says passanger headlamp is out. Attached is what i bought and checked on driver side to be sure it worked. Everything i bought is oem

Why did you change the ass'y? What exactly is or isn't it doing now?

 

The led tube was out along with the headlight and the dealer said they'd have to replace the entire assembly so I did with new oem.
