After I release the parking brake with the handle, the dashboard light does not turn off. If I hook my foot on the pedal and tap it forward, the light then turns off. I'm assuming the pedal is just not releasing all the way forward.

Any quick/cheap fix for this? Handle problem or just a sticky pedal?

Well known problem. A new damper is the easy solution. There was a thread about this for a few weeks back. I bought mine then, a part number is provided in that thread.
