Timpe this is an off the shelf solution that suits me down to the ground. Can still tow and fit the bike rack. Bit of a hassle to drop it down and raise back up (drops to left or right) has a extendable handle to increase lift leverage but I don't need to use it. Can't recall exact towing capacity but by memory drops rating down to 2/3rds original. As a bonus works as a ladder to load roof racks.
