Hi,

Need to change the Battery on my Trg v8TDi 2013, anyone had used Odyssey Battery??

The Odyssey model for this should be the PC1350 specs bellow..
Good reserve capacity but CCA looks a bit low for this engine..

(PHCA) 1350
(CCA) 770
(Ah) 95
Reserve Capacity Minutes 195
Dimensions L x W x H (in) 13.90 x 6.88 x 7.48
Metric Dimensions L x W x H (mm) 353 x 175 x 190
Weight (lbs) 60.4
Weight (kg) 27.4

It probably should be fine

I have a very small (almost riding lawn mower sized) battery that is used to start my 5.5 liter motor in my other car.
I’m sure it does not have 700cca in it.

Please keep us posted on how that works out, cost etc. I have a 2011 3.6L gasser that is on the original battery. Although I haven't had any issues yet, I rather take the chance and change it before it does. I can only assuming that a 7 year-oldbattery is approaching it's end of life.

Is your other car a gasser?

A TDI is going to require higher amperage (CCA is Cold Cranking Amps) to start the vehicle than a gasser (higher cylinder compression among other things). In colder climates, you also have the current draw for the plugs to heat. Not saying don't buy the Odyssey - they make great batteries. Just something to be aware of if CCA looks low to you.
