I have been contacted by the Volkswagen Test Center with a request to participate in a test program. This is the email I received:
"As part of Volkswagen’s continuous effort to produce the best quality and superior performing vehicles on the road, your automobile may be selected as part of our on-going efforts to increase the performance of our vehicle. Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is inviting you to participate in a special engineering test program. Our study involves a simple readout of the on-board diagnostic data of your vehicle’s powertrain components. This readout can take place at any location at your convenience and would require less than 15 minutes to be performed at no cost to you. Your vehicle would be handled with the utmost care and respect.
Owners whose vehicle(s) meet certain acceptance criteria based on mileage, use, and maintenance, will be selected and given the following benefits at NO COST:
- A $75.00 Prepaid card will be mailed out after the testing.
- Convenient appointment at your home or place of business.
The purpose of this program is to determine your vehicle's on-board diagnostic performance after a period of typical use. If you are interested in participating, please do not delay contacting me back. You may telephone your response to (805) 407-9895, fax the information to us at (805) 485-3602 or email me at Johnte.Carver@vw.com. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary.
